Proposals to regenerate the King Alfred site

Proposals to regenerate the King Alfred site on the Hove seafront have been provisionally backed by the Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment (CABE). It welcomed the scheme's architectural approach but called for more detailed information on its appearance. CABE raised concerns about the entrances and public spaces in the residential aspects of the application by Frank Gehry and Partners and said that the proposed sports facility needs more work.
