The South East England Development Agency (SEEDA) and English Partnerships will reveal the revised plans at the event, which runs today and tomorrow.
Changes were made to the original proposals after they were put out for public consultation in July.
Revisions include greater environmental considerations, an enlarged maritime museum and a flood defence strategy to protect the town. More open space in housing developments and a community building and health facilities are also proposed.
SEEDA development projects director Peter Cusdin said: "The changes reflect the comments that we received." An application is expected next month.
