Firearms building designed by Terence O'Rourke

A firearms building designed by Terence O'Rourke for Dorset Police Authority opened this month. The building is an extension to the police force headquarters at Winfrith. It houses a secure firearms and operations training facility with site constraints and security issues. Terence O'Rourke aimed to design the 350m2 development so that high-security areas such as the armoury and ammunition stores have a solid, heavy base while the office and teaching areas are more lightweight.
