Quiz champions reveal true incentive

The Judaen People's Front scored a surprise victory in last week's Northern Ireland and Scotland Planning Student Quiz.

Queen's University Belfast winners Karen Gallagher, Kim Boal, Fiona Donaghey and Siofra Boyd admitted that their participation was motivated mainly by the offer of free drinks tokens. But a score of 60 on a range of planning-related trivia secured them a £500 cash prize as the quiz landed on Irish soil for the first time.

Queen's colleagues The Ladees Who Want More Tokens - Clare Barrett, Carol Ann O'Kane, Hannah Stevin and Bronagh O'Kane - gave the winners a run for their money with a final score of 53. Five teams from Queen's competed with a lone Scottish entry from the University of Dundee, with RTPI junior vice-presidency candidate Peter Wilbraham proving his credentials as guest quizmaster.
