Thurrock Thames Gateway grants permission for sewage facility

The Thurrock Thames Gateway Development Corporation planning committee has made its first planning decision since obtaining development control powers last month. It has granted permission for a sewage facility in Tilbury. The scheme involves upgrading the bio-solids dryer at Tilbury Sewage Works to better serve the growing population in Thurrock and south Essex. The plan also includes a plant control room, offices and staff facilities. It is expected to create 12 jobs.
