Dransfield Properties resubmits plans

Developer Dransfield Properties has resubmitted plans for the expansion of its Market Cross shopping centre in Selby, North Yorkshire. The £16 million project involves building three shops to create 2,600m2 of floor space. The proposals also include increasing the size of the site's Morrisons superstore from 4,500m2 to 7,000m2. Dransfield bought the centre earlier in the year, but its original application for redevelopment was turned down by Selby District Council in August. The local authority will consider the scheme in the new year.
