Government departments have been berated

Government departments have been berated for failing to give enough prominence to sustainable development in their annual reports.

A National Audit Office study claims that only the ODPM, DEFRA, the Department for Transport and the DTI integrate sustainable development reporting in mainstream reports, while other departments treat it as an environmental issue.
