Grants to help tackle derelict buildings in Wales

Grants to help tackle derelict buildings and renew town centres in Wales are to be given to 15 projects, social justice and regeneration minister Edwina Hart announced last week.

More than £13 million will be released during the next financial year from the Welsh Assembly Government's physical regeneration fund. Among the schemes to benefit are a 160-space car park in Abertillery, the regeneration of conservation areas in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and traffic and street improvements in Haverfordwest.
