Plans to relocate Cardiff's central library

Plans to relocate Cardiff's central library to a purpose-built temporary facility were unveiled this week to enable the £535 million St David's 2 scheme to progress. St David's Partnership aims to move the library into the 3,715m2 temporary building to release its current site for development. A state-of-the-art building would then be built as a permanent home for the library. Subject to planning approval, work on the temporary facility will begin in January.
