Environmental improvements begin on housing estate in Southall

A £6.2 million scheme of environmental improvements has begun on a housing estate in Southall, west London, as part of the London Borough of Hounslow's Decent Estates programme. The project by developer Lovell and Hounslow Homes will see car parks and roads resurfaced, the installation of closed-circuit television cameras and the refurbishment of the local community centre at the Convent Way estate. Lovell will also carry out refurbishment work on several communal areas in blocks of flats at the estate.
