A pilot programme to improve social housing in south Wales

A pilot programme to improve social housing across four estates in south Wales has been launched. Valleys to Coast Housing Association is working with Bridgend County Borough Council on the £1.5 million scheme to upgrade space around the Caerau Park, Tudor, Wildmill and Marlas estates. Powell Dobson Urbanists has been commissioned to provide a masterplan. If successful, the scheme will be rolled out across another 36 estates in Bridgend, comprising around 5,400 houses. Work is expected to start next summer.
