Future development of the commercial area around London's Euston station

A community consultation into the future development of the commercial area around London's Euston station has been launched by owner Sydney and London Properties. The Euston Estate comprises four office buildings containing more than 32,500m2 of space next to the terminus. The consultation follows Network Rail's announcement that it will go to market on development proposals for Euston and Victoria by the end of the year (Planning, 14 October, p3). The site currently contains around 30 shops, an outdoor seating area, underground car parking, a Starbucks coffee house and decorative sculptures.
