An agreement to help deliver a key scheme to regenerate Preston

An agreement to help deliver a key scheme to regenerate Preston city centre has been signed by the city council and developer Grosvenor. The Tithebarn project includes plans to refurbish the market and provide 400 homes, shops, restaurants, bars and leisure facilities including a 12-screen cinema to the north-east of the city centre. More than 2,500 car parking spaces and a bus station are also proposed. The scheme is waiting on the partners to secure a major anchor store, planning permission and funding.
