Park managers and community groups invited to apply for Green Flag

Park managers and community groups have been invited to apply for a Green Flag, the national award for green spaces in England and Wales. Applicants are judged against eight criteria: whether a space is welcoming, whether it is well maintained, health and safety issues, sustainability, conservation and heritage, management, community involvement and marketing. The scheme is open to any parks or green spaces freely accessible to the public, including allotments, nature reserves, crematoria and country parks.
