Local MP opens business village in Stafford

A £1.5 million business village in Stafford was opened by local MP David Kidney last Friday. The purpose-built facility connects Staffordshire University's Beaconside campus with the Staffordshire Technology Park to provide a range of business incubator start-up units. The university project aims to boost the economy of the region and to encourage entrepreneurship among students. The 15 companies located in the business village are made up of current undergraduates running their own businesses instead of spending a year in industry and recent graduates of the university.
