Survey by PlantforLife

UK residents would be happy to pay increased council tax contributions to fund the protection of local parks and green spaces, a survey by PlantforLife shows. The study reveals that 53 per cent of people would back such increases to help avoid vandalism in communal areas. Forty-two per cent would be willing to pay up to £25 a year and eight per cent would accept a charge of between £25 and £50 a year.
