Plans to transform Liverpool's Edge Lane area given the go-ahead

Plans to transform Liverpool's Edge Lane area were given the go-ahead last week. The scheme, submitted by Liverpool Land Development Company last January, aims to create a public realm, carry out road realignment and improve road safety at the western end of Edge Lane between Botanic Road and Hall Lane. Up to 300 homes, shops, commercial and community facilities are planned, as well as the planting of 450 trees. Edge Lane West will also benefit from a £56 million redevelopment of the Edge Lane corridor.
