The Bristol Alliance is redeveloping and expanding Broadmead shopping centre

Work has begun on Bristol's biggest regeneration project since the city's post-war reconstruction. The Bristol Alliance, a partnership between leading property firms Hammerson and Land Securities, is redeveloping and expanding the 1960s Broadmead shopping centre to accommodate retail and leisure uses as well as more than 200 homes. Renamed Merchant's Quarter, the redevelopment is scheduled for completion in 2008.
