Midlothian Schools public-private partnership project

The design and landscaping of the £70 million Midlothian Schools public-private partnership project in Scotland is to be carried out by Aedas. The firm will work with Skanska Quayle Munro (SQM) as part of a consortium selected by Midlothian Council to revamp eight community primary schools. As part of the bid process Aedas held workshops with the pupils of each school to hear their views on the design of playgrounds and classrooms. The first two schools will be finished by autumn 2006, with the remainder completed by spring 2007.
