East End work begins

Work has begun on a £54 million housing scheme in London's East End near the site of the planned 2012 Olympic stadium. The Heart of Bow project will create 279 homes for affordable rent, shared ownership and open-market sale. Regeneration specialist Lovell is working on the development with Tower Hamlets Housing Action Trust and the Guinness Trust.
