NEA publishes strategy

A renewable energy strategy has been published by the North East Assembly (NEA) to provide a planning policy framework. The strategy has already influenced renewable energy policies in the NEA's draft regional spatial strategy. The document, which was overseen by the North East Renewable Energy Group, features a landscape character assessment, a grid capacity study and a regional geographical study for onshore wind farms. The strategy is available via Jo-Anne Garrick (tel) 0191 261 3932 or (e-mail)
