Ness Point pledge secured

A £3 million funding pledge has been secured to develop a centre for offshore renewables technology at Ness Point in Lowestoft. Last week the East of England Development Agency agreed with Suffolk County Council to support the project, which aims to turn Lowestoft into a focal point for the renewable energy sector. The centre will provide office space targeted at small to medium-sized renewables providers. The agency will finance the project with funding from the EU and Waveney District Council.
