Renaissance bus tour

A "renaissance bus" began a tour of Selby in Yorkshire last weekend to launch a 25-year development charter. The project is the next stage of the district's urban renaissance programme, funded by Yorkshire Forward, and has been developed by the Selby, Sherburn in Elmet and Tadcaster town teams with planning consultancy URBED. Key themes include housing growth, town centre revival, heritage, economic diversification, energy and water management. Public exhibitions of the charter's ideas will be on display until 15 September and further consultation will follow during the autumn.
