Plans to help regenerate Millom given kick-start

Plans to help regenerate Millom in Cumbria and its surrounding area have been given a kick-start after £1 million was secured from the Northwest Development Agency. The investment in the Millom and Haverigg Economic Development Group will implement a range of projects aimed at creating a thriving economic base for the town. The programme, led by Copeland Borough Council with support from West Lakes Renaissance, will support the development of businesses, improvements to Devonshire Road Industrial Estate and transport links to improve access to outlying rural communities.
