Warwick Bar partnership set up

A partnership has been set up to drive forward plans for a vibrant creative quarter in Birmingham's Warwick Bar area in the Eastside regeneration zone. Property developer ISIS Waterside and Birmingham City Council have invited 45 urban design practices to compete to prepare a masterplan for the 1.9ha site, where the Grand Union Canal meets the Digbeth Branch Canal. The partnership is looking for a carbon-neutral mixed-use scheme that will safeguard listed buildings, uncover the hidden River Rea and support flora and fauna. Proposals will be judged in November.
