Planning permission granted for a luxury hotel,

Formula 1 racing driver David Coulthard and hotelier Ken McCulloch have been granted planning permission for a luxury hotel on the former Brooklands motor racing circuit in Surrey by Elmbridge Borough Council. The development site is next to both the Brooklands Museum and Mercedez-Benz World. The hotel building has been designed to reflect the glamour of the circuit in its heyday during the 1920s and 1930s. Columbus Hotels, part of the McCulloch Unique Hotels group, was advised on the scheme by Terence O'Rourke.
