Wales and Cheshire Rail link investigated

Options for rail links between north Wales and Cheshire are being investigated by Faber Maunsell with the Elan Public Transport Consultancy. The two consultancies have been commissioned by Taith Consortium, Cheshire County Council, Merseytravel and the Welsh Development Agency to develop and test options aimed at improving the Borderlands line between Wrexham and Bidston. The study will also assess the potential for stations at Deeside Industrial Park and Woodchurch and Beechwood on Merseyside.
