Green neighbourhood to be created

A green, self-sufficient neighbourhood in north Sheffield is set to be created after getting the go-ahead from the city council this week. The £700,000 project at Longley is one of a series of local hubs designed to provide community facilities and local jobs. The buildings, created from renewable materials, aim to have a low environmental impact. Construction on the scheme, designed by Allen Tod Architecture, is due to start in November.
