Permission granted for Nottingham spire

A spire taller than Big Ben at a Christian centre in Nottingham has been granted permission. The 100m stainless steel spire will form part of the development of a church and international conference centre on Talbot Street. The £10 million building, designed by AGP Architects with Turley Associates as planning consultant, includes an auditorium for up to 2,000 people.
