Plans for Kirkstall Valley

Plans to revive Kirkstall Valley in Leeds and create more than 1,000 jobs have gone on public display. The scheme for the former industrial Kirkstall Forge site, put forward by Harrogate-based developer Commercial Estates Group, is currently being considered by Leeds City Council. It features a mixed-use development including 1,385 homes and community facilities such as shops, bars, cafes, restaurants and a creche. More than half of the 22ha site will be retained as green space for community use.
