East Riding of Yorkshire Council fails

East Riding of Yorkshire Council failed to deal properly with breaches of planning conditions at a caravan site, the local government ombudsman has found. Patricia Thomas's investigation upheld a resident's complaint over the council's failure to enforce regulations at a site used by travellers next to his home. The report found the local authority guilty of maladministration causing injustice and advised the council to pay £500 to the complainant and review its procedures.
