Former Edinburgh post office in use

Edinburgh's former general post office has been brought back into use as offices after lying derelict for 15 years. The £100 million office development in the city's historic New Town opened last week, providing 19,800m2 of office space on eight floors. Waverley Gate, designed by the Hugh Martin Partnership, fuses the original category B listed facades of the post office, which opened more than 135 years ago, with a modern office design. The Castlemore Securities scheme also includes 2,300m2 of rooftop gardens.
