Lovell named as provider of Birmingham's Ley Hill estate

House builder Lovell was named last week as the preferred affordable homes provider for the next phase of the £40 million regeneration of Birmingham's Ley Hill estate.

The redevelopment is being monitored by a partnership between Birmingham City Council and the Prime Focus Regeneration Group. The scheme will eventually see more than 440 homes for sale and rent, the improvement of 100 existing council properties and reinvestment of £8 million from the sale of council land in the community. Lovells has been chosen for the £13 million second phase, which will see 150 homes built on land cleared by the council.
