Planning application submitted for Nottingham redevelopment

A planning application was submitted last week for the redevelopment of Old Market Square in Nottingham.

The application was lodged by designers Gustafson Porter, who won a design competition for the square's revamp earlier in the year. Public consultation on the proposals has been under way since October and has indicated strong support for the design. The scheme is aimed at making the square, which lies at the heart of the East Midlands city, more accessible and attractive by introducing water features, works of art and better seating.
