Gleeds to project-manage scheme in Gravesend

Construction management business Gleeds is to project-manage a £120 million scheme to regenerate north-east Gravesend in Kent.

Countryside Properties and Gravesham Borough Council are aiming to transform disused industrial land and buildings into a vibrant Thamesside destination, to be known as The Embankment. Work on the Gravesend Canal Basin started in November and includes refurbishment of basin walls and repair of the lock gates. The first phase of a residential quarter to provide flats and affordable homes will begin in the new year.
