Plans submitted for mixed-use development in Rotherham

Plans have been submitted for a £100 million mixed-use development at Manvers Lake, Rotherham. The scheme includes housing, business premises and leisure facilities and could create 1,500 jobs. The 113ha site is next to a bird reserve near Wath-upon-Dearne. A variety of groups were involved in the application, including Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council, the Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment and the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds.
