JMP Consulting to promote public transport use in Darlington

JMP Consulting is to explore whether a wider fare and ticketing strategy could promote public transport use in Darlington. The town, one of three pilot sustainable travel towns selected by the Department for Transport, currently operates a half fare scheme for the elderly and an annual discounted operator's pass. JMP will review the borough council's concessionary fare arrangements and work with operators to consider the feasibility of a multi-operator ticket.
