Public consultation for Belfast City Airport launched

A public consultation on a review of the planning agreement for Belfast City Airport was launched this week. The airport's management requested the review of the agreement, which governs operations including the number of seats for sale, operating hours, air traffic, noise and flight paths. It wants a reappraisal of the seats for sale restriction, which limits operators to no more than 1.5 million seats on scheduled flights over 12 months. Local authorities, stakeholders and residents groups will all be invited to comment before the consultation closes on 14 January.
