Slough named as the most enterprising town in South East

Slough has been named as the most enterprising town in the South East after winning the regional section of the Enterprising Britain competition. The title, announced by chancellor Gordon Brown, recognises levels of enterprise in a bid to strengthen the economy. Slough Borough Council received a trophy from South East England Development Agency. The competition now moves forward to the second stage, where Slough will vie against other regional winners to become the UK's Capital of Enterprise. All the regional winners will be showcased in London this month at the Enterprising Britain Policy Summit as part of Enterprise Week.
