Plans to redevelop the cafe on Snowdon's summit

Plans to redevelop the cafe on Snowdon's summit have received a grant of £3 million from the Welsh Assembly Government. Environment minister Carwyn Jones announced the cash allocation to the Snowdonia National Park Authority. The authority granted planning permission for the cafe redevelopment earlier this year. Jones said that the improvements are essential to retain the mountain's "international reputation as an outstanding visitor attraction".
