Kent's first design champion appointed

Kent's first design champion has been appointed by the county council. Architect Piers Gough will help raise design standards and strive to convince developers of the added value of quality design. "Every new building or group of buildings should reflect Kent's positive approach to regeneration," insisted Gough. "Good design makes people able to live, work and play better and enjoy their immediate surroundings as much as living in the garden of England."
