Neck Building listing announced

Plans to list the Neck Building at Boscombe Pier in Dorset were announced by heritage minister Andrew McIntosh this week. The building, constructed in 1958-60, comprises four kiosks at esplanade level set at an angle on either side of the pier entrance under a concrete canopy. McIntosh commented: "The vivacity of this structure clearly illustrates the revitalisation of the British seaside resort in the 1950s."
