Casebook: Appeal cases - Householder Development - Roof terrace rejected due to character impact

Plans to remove the roof of a listed house in a north London conservation area to enable the construction of a roof terrace have been rejected after an inspector decided that they would undermine the building's intrinsic character. He also concluded that a glass-walled and roofed extension to the side of the property would harm the semi-detached character of the building.

DCS No: 32285307; Inspector: Tony Bingham; Hearing.
