Regeneration News brief: Key retail site in Barry sold

A key retail site in Barry town centre has been sold to David McLean Developments by Vale of Glamorgan Council in a bid to revitalise the area. The 1,207 sq m site will house high street retailer Wilkinson. The project is one of a raft of initiatives being carried out by Barry Action, a partnership between the council and the Welsh Development Agency. Other schemes include refurbishing and extending the old town hall and reconstructing King Square and Central Park.
