Regeneration News brief: Regeneration of paper plant in Dover moves forward

The regeneration of a former paper manufacturing plant at Buckland Mill in Dover is moving forward after Gilcrest Homes was chosen as preferred developer. The South East England Development Agency (SEEDA) has confirmed that the developer will work on plans for the 3.9ha site under a six-month exclusive agreement. The development will include affordable and private housing, a children's play area, community and education facilities and business units. SEEDA has reclaimed the site, demolished a number of buildings and restored the River Dour to its original course.
