Regeneration News brief: City Park Gate moves step closer

City Park Gate, the second phase of the Masshouse regeneration project in Birmingham, moved a step closer this week after the city council confirmed Countryside Properties as developer. The company won preferred developer status last December with a £100 million mixed-use proposal to complement the Selfridges building and the Bullring. The 2.3ha scheme will include 523 private, affordable and key worker apartments, office space and shops. The buildings will be designed to minimise levels of energy and water consumption.
