Business brief: Scottish Executive commissions CBP

The Scottish Executive has commissioned Colin Buchanan and Partners (CBP) to investigate good practice in the administration of road safety by Scottish local authorities and identify lessons that can be applied across the country. The background to the research is the government's target to cut the number of people killed and seriously injured by 40 per cent by 2010. The research will look at why there is such a large variation in the casualty reductions being achieved by local authorities.
