The deputy prime minister has granted planning permission and listed building consent for the conversion of a listed manor in the Kent green belt to form 20 apartments and a single dwelling. He decided that the scheme did not represent an inappropriate form of development and judged that the site's poor accessibility by public transport was outweighed by the need to preserve the buildings.
