Business briefs: John Hughes Law Practice wins award

The John Hughes Law Practice has won the Birmingham Law Society's 2004 Sole Practitioner of the Year Award. The Birmingham-based practice specialises in town and country planning, environmental law and other areas relating to the use and development of land and on boundary and party wall disputes. The firm said that the award is a huge honour for principal John Hughes, who has been involved in government consultations on planning and compulsory purchase law reform on behalf of the Birmingham Chamber.
