Transport News: Department for Transport launches consultation

A consultation to remove the statutory limit on the number of passenger flights at Stansted Airport has been launched by the Department for Transport. The statutory limit is 185,000 take-offs and landings a year. If parliament agrees to remove it, the limit set by Uttlesford District Council in a 2003 planning permission of 241,000 will come into effect.
